Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Transmitter Programming

Activation
NOTE:
This procedure is used only for vehicles that have a Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitters and NOT an Integrated Key Transmitters (IKT).
NOTE:
Up to 4 Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitters may be programmed using this procedure.
NOTE:
The serial number for the Wired-In Connectivity Module is also displayed in the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) serial number storage area. (if programmed following delivery of the vehicle).
NOTE:
Serial numbers can also be deleted to allow new serial numbers to be added and saved.
- From the diagnostic scan tool, enter TOOLBOX. Select BCM> BCM - Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) Transmitter Programming and follow the on-screen instructions to program the RKE transmitter. As indicated, PATS is not being programmed only the transmitter in the stand alone RKE transmitter.
- Disassemble the RKE transmitter. Review the Owner's Literature for information on replacing the RKE transmitter battery.
- As prompted in the following screens enter the 48 digit serial number found inside the RKE transmitter. If this is a new RKE transmitter, the serial number is also located with the packaging.
- Depress the Unlock button on the RKE transmitter to confirm that the RKE transmitter has been successfully programmed.
