Powertrain Drivetrain Mount Neutralizing: Adjustment

All vehicles 

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  2. Remove the fasteners and rear undershield.

  3. Loosen, but do not remove the rear electric drive assembly fasteners.

    1. Remove the bolts and position aside the fender splash shield.
    2. Remove the pin type retainers.

  6. Loosen, but do not remove the roll restrictor fasteners. Verify that the roll restrictor is loose.

  7. Loosen, but do not remove the roll RH restrictor fasteners. Verify that the roll restrictor is loose.

  9. Remove the SOBDM. Refer to: Secondary On-Board Diagnostic Control Module A (SOBDM) .

  10. Remove the RH mount bolts.

  14. Gently raise the powertrain and lift the motor mounts from the body. Use the General Equipment: Trolley Jack. Use the General Equipment: Wooden Block

  15. Gently lower the powertrain and motor mounts back down onto the body. Remove the jack.

    All vehicles 

  16. NOTE: Do not twist or strain the powertrain/drivetrain mounts or damage to the mounts may occur.

    Rest the vehicle on the ground. Rock the vehicle on the parking pawl to neutralize the mounts.

  17. Inspect the mounts for bolt interference and verify the mounts are not twisted or preloaded.

  18. Install the LH mount bolts.

    Torque

    : 92 lb.ft (125 Nm)

  19. Install the RH mount bolts.

    Torque

  20. Inspect the roll restrictor for preloading or binding around the clevis. The roll restrictor should be straight.

  21. Tighten the roll restrictor fasteners.

    Torque

    : 92 lb.ft (125 Nm)
