Image Processing Module A (IPMA): Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
NOTE: If installing a new module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the scan tool prior to removing the module. This information must be downloaded into the new module after installation.
  1. Remove the IPC. Refer to: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .
  2. Remove the BCM. Refer to: Body Control Module (BCM) .
  3. Remove the retainers and position aside the wiring harness.

  4. Remove the bolt and the nuts.

    Torque: 7 Nm

  5. Remove the BCM bracket.

  6. Remove the nuts and lift the IPMA in upward direction.

    Torque: 6 Nm

    1. Move the IPMA RH and LH side direction to allow access to the electrical connectors (largest part of opening between IP and air vent ducting).
    2. Disconnect the IPMA electrical connectors.

  7. Remove the IPMA by rotating it vertically down through the vacant area where the BCM is positioned.
