Cruise Control Systems: Description

This system has the capability to cruise, coast, resume speed, accelerate, speed-up or speed-down. The system consists of mode control switches, control module, servo unit, speed sensor, vacuum supply, electrical and vacuum release switches, and an electrical wire harness.

A vacuum operated servo unit is used to maintain desired speed. The system control module monitors vehicle speed and servo position. The control module operates vacuum and vent valves in servo to maintain desired speed. A low speed limiter is contained within control module to prevent system engagement below 25 MPH.
