Possible Cause & Correction
- Check thermostat for proper heat range or improper operation (always open).
- Check fuel pressure. See CHART A6 - FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE in the TBI TESTS/CODES article in this section.
- Check ignition timing.
- Check TCC for proper operation. See TORQUE CONVERTER CLUTCH chart in the TBI TESTS/CODES article in this section.
- Check non-CCC related items such as tire pressure, clogged air cleaner, engine compression, owner's driving habits, etc.
- Perform SYSTEM CHECK.
