Section 36 (Engine Controls - Tests W/Codes - 5.9L Diesel): Introduction

If no faults were found while performing the BASIC TESTING - 5.9L DIESEL article, proceed with self-diagnostics. If no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) are present after entering self-diagnostics, proceed to TEST NTC-1A and TESTS W/O CODES - 5.9L DIESEL article in the ENGINE PERFORMANCE section for diagnosis by symptom (i.e., ROUGH IDLE, NO START, etc.).
