Charge Indicator Light Always On

Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect generator connector. Turn ignition on. If charge indicator light does not illuminate, go to next step. If charge indicator light illuminates, go to step 3).
Replace generator. See GENERATOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Recheck system.
Check for short circuit in Red wire between generator and instrument cluster. Repair as necessary. If circuit is okay, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. Recheck system.
