Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT CAUTION in GM VEHICLES CAUTIONS & NOTICES article.

Disconnect the battery negative cable.
Disconnect the cruise control cable. Refer to CRUISE CONTROL CABLE REPLACEMENT (4.3L) or CRUISE CONTROL CABLE REPLACEMENT (2.2L) .
Disconnect the electrical connector.
Remove the 3 nuts that retain the cruise control module to the mounting bracket studs.

Remove the cruise control module from the mounting bracket.
Remove the 3 screws that retain the mounting bracket to the cowl panel.
