Installation Procedure

If replacing the whole muffler assembly, carefully install the muffler into place on the vehicle and secure the exhaust hangars to the insulators.

NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
Install the muffler to the catalytic converter pipe and secure the pipe with the nuts.
Tighten

Tighten the nuts to 45 N.m (33 lb ft).
If replacing exhaust aft of the muffler:
1. 3.1. Connect exhaust to insulators as required.
2. 3.2. Install exhaust pipe to muffler.
  Tighten
  
  Tighten the clamp nuts to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
3. 3.2. Remove the exhaust support.
Inspect the exhaust system for leaks and underbody contact.
Install the frame brace (required on extended versions).
Lower the vehicle.
