Installation Procedure

- Verify that all electrical components are off such as interior lights, all doors are closed, the underhood lamp, etc.
- Clean corrosion from the negative battery cable using a metal brush.
- Install the battery negative cable (3) to the battery (5).NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
- Install the retaining bolt to the battery negative cable.
Tighten
Tighten the battery negative cable to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
- Reset the radio stations and the clock.
