Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Vibe. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the floor panel carpet (6) to the vehicle.
  2. Install the body side lower rear garnish moldings. Refer to GARNISH MOLDING REPLACEMENT - BODY SIDE LOWER REAR  .
  3. Install the foot rest. Refer to FOOT REST REPLACEMENT  .
  4. Install the 4 plastic retainers (3) which secure the rear of the floor carpet (6).

    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  5. Install each of the front seat belt (1) lower anchor bolts to the floor.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the bolts to 42 N.m (31 lb in).

  6. Install the floor carpet retainers (2) to each door opening.
  7. Install the 3 plastic retainers (1) which secure the front of the floor panel carpet (6).
  8. Install the rear seat assembly. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - REAR in Seats.
  9. Install the compact disc player, if removed. Refer to CD PLAYER REPLACEMENT in Entertainment.
  10. Install the accessory AC/DC power control module. Refer to ACCESSORY AC/DC POWER CONTROL MODULE in Wiring Systems.
  11. Install the front seats. Refer to SEAT REPLACEMENT - FRONT BUCKET in Seats.
  12. Install the rear floor console. Refer to CONSOLE REPLACEMENT - REAR FLOOR in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.

  13. Install the front floor console. Refer to CONSOLE REPLACEMENT - FRONT FLOOR in Instrument Panel, Gages and Console.
  14. Install the center pillar lower trim panels. Refer to TRIM PANEL REPLACEMENT - LOWER CENTER PILLAR  .
  15. Install all 4 side door sill trim plates. Refer to DOOR SILL PLATE REPLACEMENT  .
  16. Install the body hinge pillar trim panels. Refer to TRIM REPLACEMENT - HINGE PILLAR  .
  17. Install the floor mats, if equipped.
  18. Enable the SIR system. Refer to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM in SIR.
