Installation Procedure

  1. Install the caliper (10) to the caliper bracket (14).
  2. Install the caliper bolts (11,18).

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts to 34.3 N.m (25.30 lb ft).

  3. Install a NEW washer (1) to the flexible hose lock hole in the caliper.
  4. Install the brake hose (3) to the caliper.
  5. Install the brake hose fitting (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the fitting to 29 N.m (21.4 lb ft).

  6. Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  7. Lower the vehicle.
  8. With the engine OFF, gradually apply and release the brake pedal several times in order to position the caliper pistons and the brake pads.
  9. Fill the master cylinder reservoir. Refer to Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling in Hydraulic Brakes.
  10. Bleed the brake system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding in Hydraulic Brakes.
