Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the floor console from the vehicle. Refer to Console Replacement - Front Floor (Full Length (Auto Trans)) , Console Replacement - Front Floor (Full Length (Envoy)) , Console Replacement - Front Floor (Non-Full Length) or Console Replacement - Front Floor (Full-Length (Manual Trans)) .
  3. Remove remote CD changer, if equipped. Refer to Remote CD Player Replacement .
  4. Remove the console wiring harness from the amplifier.

  5. Remove the amplifier mounting nuts.
  6. Remove the amplifier from the mounting bracket.
