Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to SIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zone 3 .
  2. Remove trim plate - I/P accessory panel. Refer to Trim Plate Replacement - Instrument Panel (I/P) Accessory in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.

  3. Release the 4 locking tabs (1) on the passenger AIR BAG disable switch.

  4. Remove the switch from the instrument panel.
  5. Disconnect the electrical connections, as needed.
