Installation Procedure
- Install the EBCM, if removed. Refer to Electronic Brake Control Module Replacement .
- Install the BPMV to the bracket, if removed. Refer to Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Bracket Replacement .
- Install the BPMV and bracket assembly to the frame rail and slide the BPMV and bracket assembly toward the front of the vehicle.
- Keep the BPMV and bracket assembly firmly seated in the slots of the frame rail and tighten the BPMV bracket bolts (1) to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
- Connect the left front brake pipe fitting (1) and tighten the fitting to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
- Connect the right rear brake pipe fitting (1) and tighten the fitting to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
- Connect the left rear brake pipe fitting (1) and tighten the fitting to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
- Connect the right front brake pipe fitting (1) and tighten the fitting to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
- Connect the master cylinder secondary brake pipe fitting (1) and tighten the fitting to 32 N.m (24 lb ft).
- Connect the master cylinder primary brake pipe fitting (1) and tighten the fitting to 32 N.m (24 lb ft).
- Connect the EBCM electrical connector.
- Install the transfer case skid shield, if equipped. Refer to Transfer Case Skid Shield Replacement .
- Bleed the antilock brake system. Refer to Antilock Brake System Automated Bleed .
- Program the EBCM. Refer to Electronic Brake Control Module Programming and Setup .
- Calibrate the BPMV pressure sensor. Refer to Brake Pressure Modulator Valve Pressure Sensor Calibration .
