Installation Procedure
- Install the battery positive cable retainers (2) to the battery tray and intake manifold insulator.
- Secure the battery positive cable (3) to the engine harness with the retainer clips (1).
- Install the battery positive cable (1) to the junction block stud and tighten the fastener (2) to 13 N.m (115 lb in).
- Install the junction block cover (3).
- Route the battery positive cable (1) to the fuse block stud and tighten the fastener (2) to 4.7 N.m (42 lb in).
- Install the battery positive cable (2) to the generator stud and tighten the fastener (3) to 15 N.m (11 lb ft).
- Slide the protective boot (1) onto the generator stud.
- Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
- Install the battery positive cable (2) to the starter solenoid (3) and tighten the fastener (1) to 13 N.m (115 lb in).
- Install the left engine mount bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Bracket Replacement - Left Side .
- Lower the vehicle.
- Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement .
- Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
