Installation Procedure

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  1. Install the starter (2) into position on the flywheel and tighten the bolts (2) to 58 N.m (43 lb ft).

  2. Connect the knock sensor connector (3) to the knock sensor (2) and the engine harness connector (1) to the starter solenoid.

  3. Install the battery positive cable (2) to the starter solenoid (3) and tighten the fastener (1) to 13 N.m (115 lb in).
  4. Install the left engine mount bracket. Refer to Engine Mount Bracket Replacement - Left Side .
  5. Lower the vehicle.
  6. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
