Installation Procedure
- Position the steering column (1) in the vehicle.
- Install Steering Column Nut (1) and tighten 22 N.m (16 lb ft)
- Install Intermediate Steering Shaft (1) @Steering Column Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement
- Connect the steering column electrical connectors.
- Install Floor Front Air Outlet Duct - Left Side (2) Floor Front Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side
- Install Instrument Panel Knee Bolster (1)Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Replacement
- Enable the SIR System. SIR Disabling and Enabling
- Before the steering column upper and lower trim covers are installed, relearn the soft and hard stops. Steering Column Tilt Wheel and Telescope Control Module Learn
- Install Steering Column Lower Trim Cover (1) Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Replacement (RPO N38)
- Center the steering angle sensor. Steering Wheel Angle Sensor Centering
CAUTION:
Refer to Fastener Caution .
NOTE:
In order to relearn the steering column soft and hard stops, the steering column MUST be mounted and fastened and the steering column upper and lower trim covers CANNOT be installed.
