Installation Procedure

- The disc brake pad clip with the tab (1) must be installed in the leading edge of the brake caliper bracket.
- Install Leading Disc Brake Pad Clip (1)
- Install Trailing Disc Brake Pad Clip (2)
- Install Inner Disc Brake Pad Shim (1)
- Apply 2 g (0.07 oz) lubricant paste between the disc brake pad shims. Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Install Outer Disc Brake Pad Shim (2)
- Install Inner Disc Brake Pad (1)
- Outer Disc Brake Pad (1)
- Install Disc Brake Pad Spring (1)
- Position the brake caliper to the caliper bracket.
- Install Brake Caliper Guide Pin Bolt (1) and tighten 72 N.m (53 lb ft)
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
- With the engine OFF, gradually apply the brake pedal to approximately 2/3 of its travel distance.
- Slowly release the brake pedal.
- Wait 15 seconds, then repeat steps 12-13 until a firm brake pedal is obtained. This will properly seat the brake caliper pistons and brake pads.
- Fill the brake master cylinder reservoir to the maximum-full level with GM approved brake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container. Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling

NOTE:
The inner disc brake pad shim is perforated.
