Installation Procedure

- Install Mode Valve Lever (4)
- Install Defroster Valve Lever (3)
- Install Mode Control Cam (2)
- Install Mode Control Cam (1)
- Index the mode control valve cam (1) large male tooth to the mode control heater valve cam large female tooth (2) as indicated by the arrows.
- Install Heater and Air Conditioning Mode Control Cam Cover (2)
- Install and tighten Heater and Air Conditioning Mode Control Cam Cover Bolts (1) (Qty: 3) to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in)
- Install Mode Valve Actuator (2). Refer to Mode Valve Actuator Replacement
- Connect the electrical connector.
- Install the brake pedal assembly (1). Refer to Brake Pedal Assembly Replacement
- Install Steering Column (1). Refer to Steering Column Replacement (Equinox)Steering Column Replacement (Terrain)
- Connect the steering column electrical connectors.
- Install Intermediate Steering Shaft (1) @ Steering Column. Refer to Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement (Equinox)Intermediate Steering Shaft Replacement (Terrain)
- Install Floor Front Air Outlet Duct - Left Side (2). Refer to Floor Front Air Outlet Duct Replacement - Left Side
- Install Instrument Panel Knee Bolster (1). Refer to Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Replacement (Equinox)Instrument Panel Knee Bolster Replacement (Terrain)
- Unlock the steering column.
- Install Steering Column Lower Trim Cover (1). Refer to Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Replacement (Equinox)Steering Column Lower Trim Cover Replacement (Terrain)
- Secure the steering column upper trim (1) to the steering column lower trim cover.
- Center the steering angle sensor. Refer to Steering Wheel Angle Sensor Centering
- Clear the DTCs from the heater and air conditioning remote control module.
- Perform the actuator calibration procedure. Refer to Actuator Recalibration
