Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (KL9)

    Evaporative Emission Front Hose (1) - Remove - Evaporative Emission Front Hose Replacement

    Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube (1) - Remove - Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Tube Replacement

    Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve (1) - Remove - Evaporative Emission Canister Purge Solenoid Valve Replacement

  5. Drive Belt (1) - Remove - Drive Belt Replacement

    Generator Shield (3) - Remove - Generator Shield Replacement (LTG)

    Generator Nut (1) - Loosely install

  8. Raise and support the vehicle. Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle

    Battery Positive Cable Nut (1) - Remove

  10. Starter Solenoid Cable (2) - Remove

    Stud (1) - Remove

  12. Lower the vehicle.

    Electrical Connector (3) - Disconnect

  14. Generator Nut (2) - Remove
  15. Stud (1) - Remove
  16. NOTE:

    It will be necessary to rotate and maneuver the generator in order to remove.

  17. Generator (4) - Remove
