Installation Procedure

The front brake caliper spring tab (1) must be installed in the leading edge of the front brake caliper bracket.
Install the leading front brake caliper spring (1) to the front brake caliper bracket.
- Install the trailing front brake caliper spring (2) to the front brake caliper bracket.
Apply 2 g (0.07 oz) lubricant paste between the front disc brake pad (1) and vibration shim (2). Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
- Front Disc Brake Pad Vibration Shim (2) - Install
Front Disc Brake Pad-Inner (1) - Install
Front Disc Brake Pad-Outer (1) - Install
Front Disc Brake Pad Retaining Spring (1) - Install [2x]
Rotate the brake caliper downward to its installed position. (1)

- Install the front tire and wheel assemblies. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
- With the engine OFF, gradually apply the brake pedal to approximately 2/3 of its travel distance.
- Slowly release the brake pedal.
- Wait 15 seconds, then repeat steps 13 - 14 until a firm brake pedal is obtained. This will properly seat the front brake caliper pistons and front disc brake pads.
- Fill the brake master cylinder reservoir to the maximum-full level with GM approved brake fluid from a clean, sealed brake fluid container. Brake Master Cylinder Reservoir Filling
- Burnish the brake pads and rotors. Brake Pad and Rotor Burnishing
