Component Testing

- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the S86 Vehicle Stability Control Switch.
- Test for infinite resistance between the signal terminal 4 and the ground terminal 3 with the switch in the open position.
- If less than infinite resistance
Replace the S86 Vehicle Stability Control Switch.
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
- If less than infinite resistance
- Test for less than 5 Ω between the signal circuit terminal 4 and the ground circuit terminal 3 with the switch in the closed position.
- If 5 Ω or greater
Replace the S86 Vehicle Stability Control Switch.
- Go to next step: If less than 5 Ω
- If 5 Ω or greater
- All OK.
