Circuit/System Verification

  1. Vehicle in Service Mode.
  2. Verify DTC U1015 is not set.
    • Go to next step: If DTC U1015 is not set 
  3. Verify no other Hybrid/Electric Vehicle battery-related DTCs are set.
    • Go to next step: If no hybrid/EV battery-related DTCs are set 
  4. Vehicle OFF. Ensure the charge cord is not connected to the vehicle.
  5. Verify the vehicle charge port (receptacle) indicator is OFF.
    • Go to next step: If the vehicle charge port indicator is OFF 
  6. Connect the charge cord.
  7. Verify the vehicle charge port (receptacle) indicator is operating properly.
    • Go to next step: If the vehicle charge port indicator is OFF 
    1. Vehicle ON.
    2. NOTE:

      Vehicle must be ON and not in Service Mode for message operation.

    3. Verify the Charge Cord Connected message is displayed in the instrument panel/message center.
      • Go to next step: If the Charge Cord Connected message is NOT displayed
    4. Refer to Plug-In Charging Malfunction (AC Charging) , or Plug-In Charging Malfunction (DC Charging) .
    • Go to next step: If the vehicle charge port indicator is operating properly and the vehicle is charging 
  8. From the infotainment display, select Energy and then Charging. In the Settings tab, ensure Headlight Charge Status Indicator is enabled. With the headlight charge status indicator enabled and the vehicle charging, do both headlamps have blue light bars displayed?
    • Does one or both headlamps not display blue bars 

      Refer to Circuit/System Testing.

    • Go to next step: If both headlamps display blue bars 
  9. All OK.
