Installation Procedure

  1. GM6058021
    NOTE:

    The automatic level control air compressor tube has a line on it, the automatic level control air compressor tube fitting must be pushed on and up to this line.

    Automatic Level Control Air Compressor Tube Fitting (2) (1) - Install

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

    Automatic Level Control Air Compressor Tube (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications 

  3. GM5896840

    Remove the automatic level control air supply reservoir air valve cap (1).

  4. Install CH-52667  Air Spring Inflator to the automatic level control air supply reservoir air valve (2) and set the regulator on the nitrogen tank to 16 Bar (232 PSI).
  5. Using CH-52667  Air Spring Inflator, open the valve on the pressure gage to fill the automatic level control air supply reservoir.
  6. Using CH-52667  Air Spring Inflator and the shop nitrogen tank, fill the automatic level control air supply reservoir to 16 Bar (232 PSI).
  7. Close the pressure gauge valve and remove CH-52667  Air Spring Inflator from the automatic level control air supply reservoir.
  8. Install the automatic level control air supply reservoir air valve cap (1) and tighten. Fastener Specifications .
  9. Partially lower the vehicle, but DO NOT let the wheels touch the ground.
  10. Using GDS2 tool, use short-term inflate to increase pressure to the air springs:
    • Front: 6 Bar (87 PSI)
    • Rear: 5 Bar (73 PSI)
  11. Using GDS2, verify automatic level control air supply tank pressure is at 16 Bar (232 PSI), if not repeat steps 3 - 8.

    Underbody Rear Air Rear Deflector (1) - Install

  13. GM6051509

    Underbody Rear Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [6x] - Fastener Specifications

  14. GM6051510

    Underbody Rear Air Deflector Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [17x] - Fastener Specifications

  15. GM6051511

    Underbody Rear Air Deflector Retainer (1) - Install [3x]

  16. GM5807720

    With the aid of an assistant, install the fascia. (1) Rear Bumper Fascia Removal and Installation

  17. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
