Installation Procedure

    Drive Motor Rear Mount- Right Side (2) - Install

    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution .

    CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Drive Motor Rear Mount Bolt M12 x 60.90 (1) - Install NEW and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications

    Drive Motor Rear Mount- Left Side (2) - Install

    4. CAUTION:

    Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution .

  4. Drive Motor Rear Mount Bolt M12 x 60.90 (1) - Install NEW and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications

    Drive Motor Mount- Right Side (2) - Install

    6. CAUTION:

    Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution .

  6. Drive Motor Mount Bolt M12 x 60.90 (1) - Install NEW and tighten [3x] - Fastener Specifications

    Drive Motor Mount- Left Side (2) - Install

    8. CAUTION:

    Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution .

  8. Drive Motor Mount Bolt M12 x 60.90 (1) - Install NEW and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    WARNING:

    The transmission may weigh in excess of 215 kg (475 lbs), either by itself or in combination with additional components, use extreme care when installing, removing, or moving the transmission. Assistance from a hoist and/or an assistant may be required.

    • Ensure that lifting equipment can properly support the transmission and any additional components.
    • Ensure rigging applies vertical force to the lifting points and never horizontal.
    • The use of a load leveler is recommended.

    Failure to follow these guidelines can result in personal injury and/or component damage.

    Using a overhead hoist, lower electric drive transmission (1) to cradle.

    Drive Motor Rear Mount Bolt M10 x 50.65 (1) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications

    Drive Motor Mount Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications 

    12. CAUTION:

    Refer to Torque-to-Yield Fastener Caution .

  12. Drive Motor Mount Bolt M12 x 115 (2) - Install NEW and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Remove the following tools from the electric drive transmission:

    • EN-52059  Engine Support Fixture Adapter Bolts - M10 (1)
    • EN-36857  Engine Lift Bracket (2)
    • Overhead Hoist Hooks (3)

    Battery Negative Cable Extension Cable- Left Side and Right Side (2) - Install [2x]

  15. High Voltage Battery Bolt- Left Side and Right Side (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Battery Positive and Negative Cable (3) - Install

  17. Battery Cable Clip Bracket Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [4x] - Fastener Specifications
  18. Electrical Connector (1) @ Drive Motor Power Inverter Module - Connect

    Battery Positive Cable Channel Nut (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications

    Drive Motor Battery Coolant Cooler Bracket (2) - Install

  21. Drive Motor Battery Cooling Blower Bracket Bolt (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Wiring Harness Retainer (2) - Engage

    Install the air conditioning with motor compressor (4) and attached components.

  32. High Voltage Air Conditioning Compressor Lower Mount Bolt (3) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  33. High Voltage Air Conditioning Compressor Bracket Bolt (2) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
  34. Air Conditioning Condenser and Evaporator Hose Fitting Nut (1) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    Electrical Connector (1) @ Air Conditioning Condenser and Evaporator Hose - Connect

  36. Electrical Connector (2) @ Air Conditioning Evaporator Tube - Connect
  37. Electrical Connector (3) @ Air Conditioning Condenser and Evaporator Hose - Connect
  38. Wiring Harness Retainer (4) - Engage [2x]

    Install the heater coolant heater bracket (5) with front electric drive transmission module cooler coolant hose (4).

  49. Front Electric Drive Transmission Module Cooler Coolant Hose (4) @ Automatic Transmission Fluid Cooling Exchanger - Install
  50. Front Electric Drive Transmission Module Cooler Coolant Hose (4) @ Drive Motor Power Inverter Module - Install
  51. Front Electric Drive Transmission Module Cooler Coolant Hose Retainer (1) - Engage [2x]
  52. Transmission Fluid Cooler Pipe Bolt (3) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications
  53. Heater Coolant Heater Bolt (2) - Install and tighten - Fastener Specifications

    High Voltage Battery Coolant Cooler Outlet Hose (2) - Install

  55. High Voltage Battery Coolant Cooler Outlet Hose Retainer (1) - Engage [3x]

  78. Install the front cradle assembly. Front Cradle Removal and Installation
  79. Run all necessary programming and setup procedures. Control Module References
