Locate the charge port door release cable (1) just behind the left rear wheelhouse liner.

NOTE:
Level 3 direct current (DC) fast charging requires a locking mechanism in the charge port receptacle/Coupler assembly to prevent customer removal of the charger cable while current is flowing. A manual release cable is provided for situations in which the Coupler lock does not disengage automatically. Only operate the manual release cable when necessary and never when DC fast charging is active.

Pull the charge port door release cable (1) to release the charging cable.
