Component Inspection

  1. Replace the O2 sensor.
  2. Clear the DTC using GDS.
  3. Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature and let it idle until the radiator fan working.
  4. Drive the vehicle to steady stage around 72~88km/h for 120seconds.
  5. Stop the vehicle and keep the engine idling,
  6. Check if O2 sensor monitoring readiness is complete.
  7. Does the scan tool show DTC P0159?

    YES 

    • Substitute with a known - good ECM (PCM) and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace ECM (PCM) and go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.

    NO 

    • Troubleshooting is finished.
