Repair Procedures: Inspection

- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Disconnect the console temperature control actuator connector.
- Verify that the console temperature control actuator operates to the defrost mode when connecting 12V to terminal 3 and grounding terminal 4.
Verify that the console actuator operates to the vent mode when connected in reverse.

- Connect the console actuator connector.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
- Check the voltage between terminal 6 and 5.CONSOLE ACTUATOR CONNECTOR VOLTAGE SPECIFICATION
Door position Voltage (V) Error detecting Cooling 3.8 ± 0.15 Low voltage: 0.1V or less Heating 1.2 ± 0.15 High voltage: 4.9V or more It will feedback the current position of the actuator to controls.
- If the measured voltage is not within specification, replace it with a genuine console temperature control actuator and check for proper operation.
- Replace the console temperature control actuator if it is proved that there is a problem with it.
