Repair Procedures: Replacement
CAUTION:
- Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
Information
- When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
- Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
- After loosening the mounting screws, remove the extension front cover (A).
Information
- Remove the extension cover by pulling it forward.
- Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the front seat shield outer cover (A).
- Disconnect the front seat power switch connector (A).
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Information
- Make sure the connector is plugged in properly.
- Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
