Check Short To Ground

Turn "OFF" the ignition switch. Disconnect fuel pressure sensor and fuel control module connector.
Measure the resistance between power terminal of fuel pressure sensor harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Infinite ∞Ω
Is the measured resistance within specification?
YES
- Substitute with a known - good fuel control module and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace fuel control module and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Repair short in harness. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
