Repair Procedures: Removal

- Disconnect the battery negative cable and wait for at least three minutes before beginning work.
- Put a flat tool (Ø4mm) into a guide hole located in the bottom of steering wheel and press a spring.

WARNING:- When put a tool into a hole, make sure not to damage an airbag cushion by a tool.
- Turn a steering wheel anti-clockwise, so make a guide hole (A) displayed on the right side.
Put a tool into a hole (B) and bend back a fixed DAB spring.
Make sure to pull DAB cover when bend back the spring.
NOTE:- Pull the DAB cover when disengaging the DAB spring because the DAB does not pop up automatically.
- Release the connector locking pin, then disconnect the driver airbag module connector (A) and horn connector (B).
- Remove the steering wheel.

- Remove the shroud lower panel and shroud upper panel.
(Refer to Steering System - "STEERING COLUMN AND SHAFT ")
- Remove the clock spring (A) after disconnecting the clock spring connectors (B).
