Repair Procedures: Installation
- Install the inhibitor switch. When installing, tighten the inhibitor assembly mounting bolts (A) loosely to allow any necessary adjustments to be made.
- Install the Manual Control Lever (A).
- Tighten the nut (B) to the specified torque.
Tightening Torque:
16.7 ~ 25.5 N.m (1.7 ~ 2.6 kgf.m, 12.3 ~ 18.8 lb-ft)
- Install the SST (09480-A3800) or 0.1969 in.(5 mm) bolt after setting Manual Control Lever (A) in the "N".
- Tighten the bolts (A) to the specified torque.
Tightening Torque:
9.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)
- Remove the SST (09480-A3800) or 0.1969 in.(5 mm) bolt.
- Install the shift cable and tighten the mounting nut (A).
- Connect the inhibitor switch connector (B).
Tightening Torque:
12.7 ~ 15.7 N.m (1.3 ~ 1.6 kgf.m, 9.4 ~ 11.6 lb-ft)
NOTE: Adjust the shift cable before tightening the nut.
(Refer to Automatic Transmission Control System - "SHIFT CABLE ") - Connect the negative (-) battery cable.
