Repair Procedures: Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
    WARNING:
    • Wait at least 3 minutes after disconnecting the cable.
  2. Install the SRSCM ground cable (A) and SRSCM (B).

    Tightening torque: 

    10.8 - 13.7 N.m (1.0 - 1.4 kgf.m, 8.0 - 10.1 lb-ft)

  3. Connect the SRSCM harness connector (A).

  4. Install the floor console assembly.

    (Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "FLOOR CONSOLE ASSEMBLY ")

  5. Reconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.
  6. After installing the Supplemental Restraints System Control Module (SRSCM), perform the variant coding and the zero point setting of longitudinal G sensor.
    NOTE:
    • Turn the ignition switch ON; the SRS indicator light should be turned on for about 3-6 seconds and then go off.
