Repair Procedures: Replacement

CAUTION:
  • Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
NOTE:
  • When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
  • When removing the interior trim pieces, use a plastic panel removal tool so as not to damage the surface.
  • Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
  1. Remove the front seat assembly.

    (Refer to Front Seat - "FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY ")

  2. Remove the front seat shield outer cover.

    (Refer to Front Seat - "FRONT SEAT SHIELD OUTER COVER ")

  3. Remove the front seat shield inner cover.

    (Refer to Front Seat - "FRONT SEAT SHIELD INNER COVER ")

  4. Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the front seat back cover.
    1. Using a screwdriver to press the fixing pin.
    2. Pull out the sheet by hand.

  5. Disconnect the rear monitor connector (A) and rear monitor cable (B).

  6. After loosening the mounting bolts, remove the rear monitor assembly (A).

  7. Remove the headrest (A).

    * How to remove the headrest 

    1. Push the mounting clip (A) of the headrest in the direction of the arrow.
    2. Release the 'LOCK' state by inserting the sharp-pointed tool into the hole (C) located at the upper side of the headrest guide (B) and then remove the headrest (D) in the direction of the arrow.

  8. Remove the front seat lower back board (A).
    NOTE:
    • Grasp the both lower sides of back board with hands and then remove it in the direction of the arrow.
    • Be careful not to damage the fixing clips.

  9. Disconnect the front seat back board connector (A).

  10. Remove the front seat air ventilation seat back duct (A).

  11. Disconnect the connector (A).

  12. Using a screwdriver or remover, remove the front seat headrest guides (A) by pulling them upwards.

  13. Remove the protector (A) from the front seat back frame.

  14. Remove the front seat back cover assembly (A) from the front seat back frame.

  15. After removing the velcro tape (A) and hog-ring clips (B) on the front of seat back and remove the front seat back cover (C).
    CAUTION:
    • Make sure that the sponge insert wire is not dislocated.

  16. Remove the front seat back cover (A) from the front seat back pad.

  17. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

    Information 

    • Make sure that the connectors are connected completely
    • Replace any damaged clips.
    • To prevent wrinkles, make sure that the cover (B) is stretched evenly before connecting the hog-ring clips (A).
    • Replace the hog-ring clips with new ones using special tool (C) (09880-4F000).
