Compression Arm

  1. Raise the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported.
  2. Remove the front wheel and tire (A) from the front hub.

    Tightening torque: 

    107.9 - 127.5 N.m (11.0 - 13.0 kgf.m, 79.6 - 94.0 lb-ft)

    NOTE:
    • Be careful not to damage the hub bolts when removing the front wheel and tire.
  3. Using the special tool (09568-2J100), remove the compression arm from the knuckle.

    Tightening torque: 

    88.3 - 107.9 N.m (9.0 - 11.0 kgf.m, 65.1 - 79.6 lb-ft)

    1. Remove the split pin (A).
    2. Remove the castle nut (B) and washer (C).
    3. Remove the compression arm from knuckle using the special tool (09568-2J100).

  4. Loosen the mounting bolt & nut and then remove the compression arm from the sub frame.

    Tightening torque: 

    137.3 - 156.9 N.m (14.0 - 16.0 kgf.m, 101.3 - 115.7 lb-ft)

  5. Install in the reverse order of removal.
  6. Check the alignment.
