With ECS

- Raise the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported.
- Remove the front wheel and tire (A) from the front hub.
Tightening torque:
107.9 - 127.5 N.m (11.0 - 13.0 kgf.m, 79.6 - 94.0 lb-ft)
NOTE:- Be careful not to damage the hub bolts when removing the front wheel and tire.
- Loosen the nut (A) and then remove the stabilizer link from the front strut assembly.
Tightening torque:
98.1 - 117.7 N.m (10.0 - 12.0 kgf.m, 72.3 - 86.8 lb-ft)

[AWD]
- Loosen the bolt and nut, separate the front shock absorber assembly from the lower arm.
Tightening torque:
137.3 - 156.9 N.m (14.0 - 16.0 kgf.m, 101.3 - 115.7 lb-ft)
[AWD]
[2WD]
- Loosen the mounting bolts and then remove the cable bracket from the knuckle.
Tightening torque:
- 8.8 - 13.7 N.m (0.9 - 1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 - 10.1 lb-ft)
- 6.9 - 10.8 N.m (0.7 - 1.1 kgf.m, 5.1 - 8.0 lb-ft)

[AWD]
- Using the special tool (09568-2J100), separate the upper arm from the knuckle.
- Remove the split pin (A).
- Remove the castle nut (B).
- Remove the upper arm from knuckle using the special tool (09568-2J100).
Tightening torque:
78.5 - 88.3 N.m (8.0 - 9.0 kgf.m, 57.9 - 65.1 lb-ft)
- Remove the front strut assembly by loosening the module bracket mounting bolts.
Tightening torque:
53.9 - 63.7 N.m (5.5 - 6.5 kgf.m, 39.8 - 47.0 lb-ft)
- Remove the ECS wiring bracket (A) from the module bracket assembly.
Tightening torque:
6.9 - 10.8 N.m (0.7 - 1.1 kgf.m, 5.1 - 8.0 lb-ft)
- Disconnect the ECS connector.NOTE:
- Removal of ECS connector
- Separate the upper cap (A) and lower cap (C).
- Separate the connector (B) and shock absorber rod (D).
- Separate the lower cap (C) and insulator (E).
- Precautions when installing the connector.
- Make sure the red marking after installing the connector is as shown in the figure below.
- Removal of ECS connector
- Loosen the nuts (A) and remove the bracket from the strut assembly.
Tightening torque:
19.6 - 29.4 N.m (2.0 - 3.0 kgf.m, 14.5 - 21.7 lb-ft)
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
