Repair Procedures: Installation

- Remove the ignition key from the vehicle.
- Disconnect the battery negative cable and wait for at least three minutes before beginning work.
- Install the SRSCM (A) with the SRSCM mounting nuts.
Tightening torque:
7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb-ft)
NOTE:- Use new mounting bolts when replacing the SRSCM after a collision. When installing the SRSCM bolt, install the ground wire (A) with a bolt as indicated above picture.
- Connect the SRSCM harness connectors.
- Install the heater ducts and floor console.

- Install the rear blower console.
(Refer to Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning - "REAR BLOWER UNIT ")
- Reconnect the battery negative cable.
- After installing the SRSCM, confirm proper system operation:
Turn the ignition switch ON the SRS indicator light should be turned on for about six seconds and then go off.
