Repair Procedures: Replacement

CAUTION:
  • When removing the fender, wrap protective tape around a screwdriver or remover not to damage components
  • Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries
  1. Remove the front wheel.

    (Refer to Suspension System - "WHEEL ")

  2. Detach the mounting clips and then remove the front wheel guard (A).

  3. Remove the front bumper assembly.

    (Refer to Front Bumper - "FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY ")

  4. Remove the head lamps.

    (Refer to Body Electrical System - "HEAD LAMPS ")

  5. Remove the side sill molding.

    (Refer to Body Side Molding - "SIDE SILL MOLDING ")

  6. Detach the mounting clips and then remove the engine sind cover (A).

  7. Using a flat-tip screwdriver or remover and then remove the fender upper garnish (A).

  8. Disconnect the turn signal lamp connector (A).

  9. Press the lock pin (A) and then remove the turn signal lamp (B).

  10. Loosen the mounting screws and then remove the front bumper side mounting bracket (A).

  11. Loosen the mounting bolts and then remove the fender assembly (A).

  12. To install, reverse removal procedure.

    Information 

    • Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
