Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Loosen the wheel nuts slightly.

    Raise the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported.

  2. Remove the front wheel and tire (A) from front hub.

    Tightening torque: 

    137.3 - 156.9 N.m (14.0 - 16.0 kgf.m, 101.3 - 115.7 lb-ft)

    NOTE:
    • Safely remove the wheel and tire (A) using the guide bolt included in the Tire Mobility Kit (TMK).

    • Be careful not to damage the hub bolts when removing the front wheel and tire (A).

  3. Remove the front strut assembly.

    (Refer to Suspension System - "FRONT STRUT ASSEMBLY ")

  4. Loosen the mounting bolt and then remove the upper arm (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    127.5 - 147.1 N.m (13.0 - 15.0 kgf.m, 94.0 - 108.5 lb-ft)

    NOTE:
    • Do not reuse the mounting bolt.
