Removal And Installation

  1. Disconnect the battery negative (-) terminal.

    (Refer to Vehicle Control System - "AUXILIARY 12V BATTERY ")

    CAUTION:
    • When lifting a vehicle using a lift, be careful not to damage the lower parts of the vehicle (floor under cover, battery)

      (Refer to General Information - "LIFT AND SUPPORT POINTS ")

  2. Loosen the rear wheel nuts slightly.

    Raise the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported.

  3. Remove the rear wheel and tire.

    (Refer to Suspension System - "WHEEL ")

  4. Disconnect the EPB actuator connector (A).

  5. Remove the rear wheel guard.

    (Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "REAR WHEEL GUARD ")

  6. Disconnect the rear wheel speed sensor & EPB wiring connector (A).

  7. Loosen the rear wheel speed sensor bracket mounting bolts (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    8.8 - 13.7 N.m (0.9 - 1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 - 10.1 lb-ft)

  8. Remove the wheel speed sensor bracket after loosening the rear upper arm rear mounting nut (A).

  9. Remove the rear wheel speed sensor (A) after loosening the mounting bolt.

    Tightening torque: 

    8.8 - 13.7 N.m (0.9 - 1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 - 10.1 lb-ft)

  10. To install, reverse the removal procedures.
  11. Check the alignment.

    (Refer to Suspension System - "ALIGNMENT ")
