Driver Airbag (DAB) Module And Clock Spring: Removal
- Set the front tires straight-ahead.CAUTION:
- If the steering wheel is not aligned to the center position, it may cause the disconnection and/or bending of the internal cable by improper steering wheel rotation.
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.WARNING:
- Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait for at least three minutes before beginning work.
- Put a flat tool (Ø5 mm) into a guide hole located in the left/right of steering wheel and press a DAB fastening pin.
- Press the lock pin, separate the DAB connector (A) and then remove the DAB module.
- Remove the steering wheel.

- Loosen the steering wheel column shroud panel.
(Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "STEERING WHEEL COLUMN SHROUD PANEL ")
- Press the lock pin and then separate the connectors (A).
- Loosen the clamp mounting bolt (A) and then remove the multifunction switch & clock spring assembly (B).
