Repair Procedures: Replacement

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
  2. Remove the heater unit.

    (Refer to Heater - "HEATER UNIT ")

  3. Loosen the mounting screws and remove the driver's temperature control actuator (A).

  4. Press the lock pin and disconnect the connector (A).

  5. Loosen the mounting screws and remove the heater tube cover (A).

  6. Detach the heater core (A) from the heater unit.

  7. Install in the reverse order of removal.

    Information 

    • If you're installing a new heater core, add refrigerant oil.
    • Do not spill the refrigerant oil on the vehicle; it may damage the paint; if the refrigerant oil contacts the paint, wash it off immediately.
    • Charge the system and test its performance.
    • Do not interchange the inlet and outlet heater hoses and tighten the hose clamps firmly.
    • Make sure that there is no air leakage.
    • Air drain operation is carried out to prevent air from the system.
