Repair Procedures: Replacement

- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the heater unit.
(Refer to Heater - "HEATER UNIT ")
- Loosen the mounting screws and remove the driver's temperature control actuator (A).
- Press the lock pin and disconnect the connector (A).
- Loosen the mounting screws and remove the heater tube cover (A).
- Detach the heater core (A) from the heater unit.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
Information
- If you're installing a new heater core, add refrigerant oil.
- Do not spill the refrigerant oil on the vehicle; it may damage the paint; if the refrigerant oil contacts the paint, wash it off immediately.
- Charge the system and test its performance.
- Do not interchange the inlet and outlet heater hoses and tighten the hose clamps firmly.
- Make sure that there is no air leakage.
- Air drain operation is carried out to prevent air from the system.
