Liftgate Back Panel: Replacement

NOTE:
  • Wear gloves to protect hands from injury.
  • Take care not to scratch the body surface.
  1. Remove the liftgate lower trim.

    (Refer to Liftgate - "LIFTGATE TRIM ")

  2. Disconnect the anti-pinch strip connector (A).

  3. Remove the anti-pinch strip (A).

  4. Disconnect the rear combination lamp connector (A).

  5. Loosen the mounting nuts, remove the liftgate back panel (A).

    Tighten torque: 

    2.5 - 3.9 N.m (0.27 - 0.4 kgf.m, 1.9 - 2.9 lb.ft)

  6. To install, reverse removal procedure.

    Information 

    • Make sure the liftgate locks and opens properly and locks securely.
    • Replace any damaged clips.
    • Make sure the connectors are connected in properly.
