Removal And Installation
- Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.CAUTION:
- When lifting a vehicle using a lift, be careful not to damage the lower parts of the vehicle (floor under cover, fuel filter, fuel tank, canister).

- Loosen the front wheel nuts slightly.
Raise the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported.
- Remove the front wheel and tire.
(Refer to Suspension System - "WHEEL ")
- Remove the under cover.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")
- Separate the stabilizer bar from the front strut assembly after loosening the mounting nut (A).
Tightening torque:
98.1 - 117.7 N.m (10.0 - 12.0 kgf.m, 72.3 - 86.8 lb-ft)
- Remove the stabilizer link after loosening the mounting nuts (A).
Tightening torque:
98.1 - 117.7 N.m (10.0 - 12.0 kgf.m, 72.3 - 86.8 lb-ft)
- Remove the side cover (A) after loosening the mounting bolts.
Tightening torque:
8.8 - 13.7 N.m (0.9 - 1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 - 10.1 lb-ft)
- Separate the stabilizer bar from the front cross member after loosening the mounting bolts (A).
Tightening torque:
49.0 - 63.7 N.m (5.0 - 6.5 kgf.m, 36.2 - 47.0 lb-ft)

- Remove the split pin and then loosen the nut (A).
Tightening torque:
98.1 - 117.7 N.m (10.0 - 12.0 kgf.m, 72.3 - 86.8 lb-ft)
- Remove the tie rod end ball joint by using the SST (09568-2J100).
- Disconnect the R-MDPS connector (A).
- Separate the gear box from the steering column and shaft after loosening the mounting bolt (A).
Tightening torque:
32.4 - 37.3 N.m (3.3 - 3.8 kgf.m, 23.9 - 27.5 lb-ft)
- Remove the steering gear box after loosening the mounting bolts (A).
Tightening torque:
107.9 - 127.5 N.m (11.0 - 13.0 kgf.m, 79.6 - 94.0 lb-ft)

- To install, reverse the removal procedures.
- Check the alignment.

- Run the "EPS Type Recognition" using by diagnostic tool.
