Repair Procedures: Removal: AWD
- Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
- Loosen the wheel bolts slightly.
Raise the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported.
- Remove the front wheel and tire (A) from front hub.
Tightening torque:
137.3 - 156.9 N.m (14.0 - 16.0 kgf.m, 101.3 - 115.7 lb-ft)
NOTE: - Disconnect the stabilizer link with the front strut assembly after loosening the nut (A).
Tightening torque:
98.1 - 117.7 N.m (10.0 - 12.0 kgf.m, 72.3 - 86.8 lb-ft)
NOTE:- When loosening the nut (A), fix the outer hexagon of stabilizer bar link.
- Be careful not to damage the stabilizer link boots.
- Loosen the mounting bolt (A) and then remove the front wheel speed sensor cable bracket.
Tightening torque:
8.8 - 13.7 N.m (0.9 - 1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 - 10.1 lb-ft)
- Loosen the G-sensor bracket mounting bolts (A).
Tightening torque:
8.8 - 13.7 N.m (0.9 - 1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 - 10.1 lb-ft)
- Loosen the bolt and nut (A) and then disconnect the lateral arm from the fork bracket.
Tightening torque:
156.9 - 176.5 N.m (16.0 - 18.0 kgf.m, 115.7 - 130.2 lb-ft)
- Loosen the bolt and nut and then remove the fork bracket (A).
Tightening torque:
78.5 - 98.1 N.m (8.0 - 10.0 kgf.m, 57.9 - 72.3 lb-ft)
- Remove the engine room cover (A).
- Remove the engine side cover (A).
- Remove the LH side cover (A).
- Remove the continuously variable damping control connector and cap.[ECS type]
- Loosen front strut upper mounting nut (A) and then remove the front strut assembly.
Tightening torque:
53.9 - 73.5 N.m (5.5 - 7.5 kgf.m, 39.8 - 54.2 lb-ft)
NOTE:- When tightening the front strut upper mounting nuts, tighten them in empty vehicle state.
- Do not reuse the mounting nut.
