Liftgate Assembly: Replacement

Information 

• Wear gloves to protect hands from injury.

1. Remove the Liftgate lower trim.

   Refer to Liftgate - "LIFTGATE TRIM ")

2. Using a screwdriver, lift the socket clips (A) up slightly on both ends of the lifter (B).

   NOTE:

   • Be careful not to remove socket clip completely as the socket clip may be damaged.
3. Disconnect the connectors and Liftgate wiring harness (A).
4. Loosen the mounting bolts, remove the Liftgate assembly (B).

   Tightening torque: 

   21.6 - 26.5 N.m (2.2 - 2.7 kgf.m, 15.9 - 19.5 lb-ft)

5. To install, reverse removal procedure.

   Information 

   • Make sure the liftgate locks/unlocks and opens/closes properly.
   • Adjust the liftgate alignment.
   • Make sure the connectors are connected in properly.
