Repair Procedures: Installation
- To install, reverse the removal procedures.CAUTION:
- When tightening the valve body bolts, check the bolt position by specification and tighten them with the specified torque.
(Be careful because poor bolt engagement may cause hydraulic pressure defects due to internal leaks.)
Valve body bolt specificationA: 30 mm (1.1811 in) Bolt B: 35 mm (1.3780 in) Bolt
Valve body tighten positionNOTE: - When tightening the valve body bolts, check the bolt position by specification and tighten them with the specified torque.
- Check the ATF level after refilling the automatic transmission with fluid.
(Refer to Fluid Automatic Transmission System - "Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF)")
- Clear the diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) using the diagnostic tool.
(Refer to Automatic Transmission System - "Repair Procedures ")
NOTE:- Even though disconnecting the battery negative terminal, the DTCs will not be cleared. So, be sure to clear the DTCs using the diagnostic tool.
- Reset the automatic transmission adaptive values using the diagnostic tool.
- Perform the oil pressure characteristics input (A/T or valve body replacement) procedure.
- Record the bar code data (oil pressure characteristics) on the automatic transmission case or valve body and then input it manually onto the diagnostic tool.
- Perform the TCM adaptive values learning procedure.
(Refer to Automatic Transmission Control System - "REPAIR PROCEDURES ")
- Be sure to check for leaks in each connection part when the engine is started.
