Code 43, No Crank Signal From Starter
The ECM receives a 12-volt signal when starter is cranking. This signal is used by the ECM to know when to turn the fuel pump on. If signal is not present and engine speed is greater than 800 RPM, Code 43 will set.
NOTE:
Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart.
- Battery voltage should be present on the Black wire while engine is cranking.
- When ignition switch is released (engine running), no voltage should be present on Black wire.
