Front Wiper Motor

  1. Unplug wiper motor connector. Remove mounting bolts from wiper motor support plate to firewall. Disconnect wiper linkage at wiper motor crank arm. Remount wiper motor to firewall.
  2. Using 12-volt battery and jumper leads, check motor speed operation and automatic park cycle. Connect positive lead to Blue wire terminal of motor connector. Connect negative lead to motor ground wire. Motor should operate at low speed of about 45 -55 RPM. Refer to Fig 1 . Connect positive lead to Blue/Red wire terminal of motor connector. Motor should operate at high speed of about 68 -78 RPM. Proceed to next step.

  3. To test automatic park, connect positive lead to Yellow/Blue wire terminal. Connect negative lead to motor ground wire. Connect another jumper lead between Blue/White and Blue wire terminals. Wiper motor should stop at normal park position. If in any step wiper motor does not operate as described, replace wiper motor assembly.
